Foz do Iguassu is located in the extreme west of Paraná, on the border of Brazil with Paraguay and Argentina. The city is a tourist and economic center of western Paraná and is one of the most important tourist destinations in Brazil.
With about 270 thousand inhabitants, Foz do Iguassu is characterized by its cultural diversity. There are approximately 80 nationalities, the most representative of which comes from Lebanon, China, Paraguay and Argentina.
The Brazilian city of Foz do Iguassu experienced a period of frenetic growth during the 18 years that the Itaipu Dam was under construction (completed in 1982), when the population increased by more than five times.
It was then a nervous place, but it has since settled. Attractions in Foz do Iguassu are not lacking, being just enough pike and entertainment that the city and its surroundings offer a variety of activities.
Foz is a complete destination that appeals to people of all ages, whatever trip to do with friends, family or couples. During the tourists take turns mainly between the parks of the falls.
